EUROSONG CONTEST WINNERS JEDWARD TO VISIT ARKLOW

Eurosong contest winners, Jedward, won the right to represent Ireland for the second year in succession following  their appearance on the Late Late Show on Friday night last. Their winning song “Waterline” proved to be the most popular choice with the jury’s and public alike. Jedward, will represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Azerbaijan, in the first semi-final on 22nd May alongside 18 other countries. Should they come out of this semi-final they will go on to take part in the Finals on 26 May.

Before they go to the Eurovision, Jedward, will be part of the line-up of acts for Arklow Seabreeze Festival Family day out in the Bridgewater Centre Park, Lamberton, Arklow, (grounds of Arklow Town Soccer Club) on Sunday 6 May in the afternoon. Arklow Seabreeze Festival managed to get them to come to Arklow before they head off for Europe and the Eurovision.  They will perform their winning song “Waterline” on the day also, which is guaranteed to thrill audiences.  Tickets will be on sale shortly from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide, locally from: Le Chef, Arklow Bay Hotel, Its Fresh and priced at €15 each. Admission to the event is by ticket only and will not be available at the entrance to the grounds on the day.

This event will be a fundraiser for the main Arklow Seabreeze Festival which takes place this year from Friday 13 July – Sunday 15 July. Following on from the success of last year’s festival it is hoped to bring top class acts to the town and put Arklow on the map, as well as a welcome tourism boost to the town of Arklow.
